Hello my name is Michael Curl inventor of the Cinch windshield repair tool and now the Super Cinch. I am a certified Scuba Diver and a private pilot with night certification. When I first got into windshield repair I started using a conventional tool, a wet vacuum injector advertised to be advanced technology. After seeing and using this tool for a very short time, I realized there was nothing advanced about the tool at all, in fact I realized because of the knowledge I have in scuba diving and flying airplanes that wet vacuum injectors have technology which is not only backwards, it is almost laughable. Just to be sure I checked with people who are teaching physics and science and asked them what they thought of windshield repair systems that place resin directly onto the glass first and try to exchange air with resin with vacuum over the resin and or pressing resin directly into the damage then use pressure and vacuum cycles to clean up the damage. The physics teacher I talked to began to laugh and said "they aren't really doing it that way are they"? I replied yes indeed they are. The teacher then shook her head and said that doing glass repair in that way was laughable, almost stupid. Yet companies selling these obsolete systems try to hang onto legitimacy by not changing their equipment. It is hard to do something right, when the method you use is backwards!

Having this knowledge, I began to develop a tool for glass repair that would remove the air and moisture first, then inject resin directly into the evacuated area without breaking the vacuum. I applied for a Utility patent and received it in November 26, 2002 and another patent issued December, 2003. I began selling the "Cinch" windshield repair tool and now the Super Cinch windshield repair tool. I am committed to providing my customers a repair tool for glass that is faster and provides better quality with stronger repairs than any conventional method. I have been selling this new tool for six years now and have never had a return or complaint about the equipment. No one has ever said their repair tool was a better tool. The patents are good until 2020! The two patent numbers are (6,485,281) and (6,663,371). Some people have said these patents are violating some other patents, which is a false. The U.S. patent office takes patent applications very seriously and grants new patents when improvements and functions are unique. These patents are the latest patents for glass repair.
