FAQ's

Q. Why should I spend money on another repair tool when I'm used to the one I have?
A. Because the Super Cinch is easy to learn and operate, requires very little cleaning, produces consistent, high quality repairs to damage on vertical, edge or crack repairs. Super Cinch will save you money because it is much faster and will help you get more business from word of mouth.

Q. How long after getting Super Cinch can I use it for retail repairs?
A. Most people are using Super Cinch within a day after getting it, especially if they have been doing windshield repair already with a conventional repair tool.

Q. How many repairs can I get from a basic kit? A Deluxe kit?
A. The basic kit comes with an ounce of resin so you can get approximately 100 repairs, the Deluxe kit comes with three ounces of resin and will give you approximately 300 repairs. This means the basic kit can help you earn $5000.00 before your next ounce of resin is ordered. The Deluxe kit will help you make approximately three times that of the basic kit! More resins can be ordered from Glass Pro Systems.

Q. Why does Glass Pro Systems sell it's resin for so much less than other companies?
A. Glass Pro Systems doesn't believe in making large profits from our resin as other companies do, we sell our resin in volume to help pass the savings on to you. Dealing with Glass Pro Systems can save you enough money on resin in a year that you can add a lot more to your bottom line.

Q. What kind of guarantee on equipment does Glass Pro Systems have?
A. Glass Pro Systems stands behind it's equipment and will repair or replace any equipment for free from defects in quality or workmanship. Glass Pro Systems also have a lifetime guarantee that resin will not damage the injector or the injector is replaced for free.

Q. I've been repairing glass for many years, why should I switch now?
A. It is never too late to improve your business operation. You can make a lot more money with Super Cinch because repairs take a lot less time and time is money.

Q. I can do quality repairs fairly easily in the dry climate I'm in, why should I buy the Super cinch?
A. The Super Cinch can allow you to be four to five times faster with as good if not better quality in a dry climate. No other tool makes cake work out of stars like the Super Cinch.

Q. Some other systems don't use very much vacuum and work pretty well don't they?
A. Those systems work if the damage is very dry and still need twenty to 30 minutes to do a star. If the damage has a lot of water vapor or liquid moisture the damage looks terrible when it is "repaired". Do you want to trap moisture and make a lousy repair even once if you can help it?

Q. Why are high vacuum levels important in windshield repair?
A. Moisture vaporizes at 30 inches of vacuum at room temperature. Super Cinch generates 28 inches so with 95 to 120 degrees along with high vacuum, moisture vaporizes and cleans the break allowing much better looking repairs and much stronger repairs. Science and physics do not lie.

Q. My company says all the air is removed first before injecting resin and it's a resin on glass injector, is what they are saying true?
A. No, you are being mis-lead. When resin is directly over the break and a vacuum is placed over the resin, some of the air is immediately removed, but not all of it. In fact only about 50 to 60% of the air is removed. The resin is immediately sucked into the space created by some air coming out which slows down the rest of the air from getting out because then the air has to travel further and further to get out of the damage. So as a matter of fact, the air is not evacuated from this method as you have been told.

Q. My company says to use a butane torch to heat the glass. Is this a good idea?
A. Butane torches heat the glass too quickly, shocking the glass, and excessive heating to the glass can damage the resin. Some of the leading windshield manufacturers say more than 150 degrees can start the delamination process. This weakens the bond between the PVB and the glass.

Q. How did you do in the windshield repair olympics?
A. You be the judge, click here.

Q. What do you think of windshield repair forums?
A. Most forums are for the blind leading the blind. Most forums are produced by companies selling repair equipment and will block your comments if you mention a competitor, or their equipment. How can you learn anything from biased forums like that? You read about people having trouble with black spots in the repairs and other problems when it is the equipment for the most part being obsolete.

Q A company swears that vacuum isn't needed in doing a repair, what about this?
A. The "D" company is absolutely wrong in saying that. They say all you need is high pressure and a good seal on the glass with very low suction. It is obvious to those who know about physics that these people simply don't know what they are talking about. In their article in Mobile Tech news they never once mentioned problems with moisture, the number one problem for all repairs. Moisture has to be removed along with all the air and the only way this can be accomplished is to use heat and vacuum at the same time. Not just any vacuum level will do, a minumum of 27 inches of vacuum is needed to quickly vaporize moisture at 95 to 115 degrees. Placing resin over the damage with a resin pool on the glass will not remove a trace of moisture. All this practice does is contaminate the resin with moisture which causes a reaction and forms carbon dioxide. The carbon dioxide forms black spots in the resin, the moisture weakens the resin, and any trapped air will show up after the resin cures. Repairs done without vacuum have little chance of coming out good. The mis-leading information of that company is hurting windshield repair's name. In the real world moisture problems have to be addressed as most repairs are performed in high humidity areas.

Q. There is a company saying that you can't hold a vacuum on a star, is that true?
A. No that is certainly not true. Most stars, over 99% of them are merely tunnels in the glass and do not crack up to the surface. Stars are most effectively repaired by Super Cinch as the little tunnesl are emptied of air before resin contacts the glass. The injector is lowered to the glass without breaking the vacuum and resin is injected into the evacuated tunnesl resulting in astonishing speed fills with the highest degree of quality. Many stars come out so clear after curing they are almost undetectable. Stars repaired with Super Cinch are done in less than one fourth the time of conventional tools using no vacuum.

Q. Isn't there another company offering a "dry Vacuum" tool?
A. You need to produce at least 26 to 28 inches of vacuum to remove moisture and the air from the break. The tool I think you are in reference to only produces around 17 inches of vacuum. This is not enough vacuum to cleanse the break of moisture and 17 inches of vacuum is only roughly half of a vacuum. The other tool needs to be dismanteled every night and cleaned or it won't work the next day, and the tool isn't capable of a vertical repair. Why spend your money on a tool that is limited? If you think you are saving money, think again. The other tool uses three times the resin, can't remove moisture and you won't be able to repair a windshield on a bus, a semi tractor or any other glass on a vertical plane, and takes longer to do a repair. Spend a little more and get so much more. You'll save money, we'll guarantee it!

Other "dry" vacuum tool can't even verify a vacuum is in place
