How does the Super Cinch work.
The Super Cinch has replaced our original Cinch tool and has several
improvements. The Super Cinch is built from anodized aluminum to protect against the
windshield repair resin. The Super Cinch incorporates a modified Wood's vacuum pump which is
capable of generating 28 inches of vacuum. The one way valve within the Modified Wood's
pump allows vacuum levels to increase with every pump. Ten quick pumps and you get
maximum vacuum. When the glass temperature is from 95 to 115 degrees at 28 inches of
vacuum moisture can escape the break by vaporizing into a gas and is pumped out. The glass is
cooled while under vacuum and injector is lowered into position next to the glass blocking off the
primary vacuum and locking the vacuum within the damage. The piston knob is turned and
resin is injected directly into an evacuated area resulting in extremely fast fills to stars and
bulls-eyes. The Super Cinch is quite litterally twice as good as the other "Dry Vacuum" injector!
After the repair the small valve on the side of the Super Cinch (The equalizer Valve) is pushed
and air is flooded back into the Super Cinch. This relieves pressure off the O-rings and
prevents resin from sucking into the vacuum pump.
